Global VOD platform Mubi has partnered with the Cannes Film Festival’s Court Metrage to screen exclusively a selection of short films that have played in competition at the event in past years.

The shorts will feature on the curated arthouse platform while the festival unspools (May 14-25).

Highlights include 1982 film “Peel,” helmed by Jane Campion, this year’s Cannes jury prexy, as well as 2007’s “Ah, Ma” from last year’s Camera d’Or winner Anthony Chen (“Ilo Ilo”). Also playing is “Chef de meute” from Chloe Robichaud, whose debut “Sarah Prefers to Run” bowed in Un Certain Regard last year.

Mubi founder and CEO Efe Cakarel said: “Short films are the ideal way for the most exclusive festivals in the world to reach audiences wherever they are.”
At Cannes, Mubi will select a new short film to screen alongside the classics. It invites filmmakers to drop by its booth (14.08) in the Short Film Corner to submit their films.
