Arthouse distributor Cohen Media Group has acquired all U.S. rights to the Catherine Deneuve starrer “In the Name of My Daughter,” Andre Techine’s drama repped by Elle Driver, which is set to world premiere out of competition in Cannes.
Deneuve stars as Agnes Le Roux, a casino heiress who disappeared in 1977.
Up-and-comer Adele Haenel and French star Guillaume Canet complete the cast.
Cohen Media Group will release the film in early 2015. The deal was negotiated by Charles Cohen and Adeline Fontan Tessaur, co-founder of Elle Driver. Fidelite Films produced the movie, which is Techine’s seventh film to bow at Cannes.
