“Maze Runner” has grossed $61 million in two weeks in the U.S. After it topped the Sept. 19-21 weekend, Fox announced a sequel had been greenlit with a Sept. 18, 2015 relesase date.
Director Wes Ball is returning as are producers Temple Hill Entertainment and the Gotham Group along with Dylan O’Brien (“Teen Wolf”) as the lead.
Esposito will play the Jorge character, a leader of the Cranks group of survivors. His credits date back to “The Usual Suspects” and include “Alex Cross” and “Last Holiday.”
Esposito is repped by ICM Partners, Thruline Entertainment and Jackoway Tyerman.
