Kiril Kulish, who won a Tony for “Billy Elliot,” has come on board the indie music drama “Sonata” opposite “Twilight Saga” star Booboo Stewart.

Iconic Media Productions’ Judi Bell and Matt Nicholas are producing with Ashley Anguline co-producing. Brendan Foley is directing from a script by Nicholas and  actress Nastassja Sanchez.

The producers are still casting the female lead — a troubled cellist suffering from hearing loss. Stewart will play her musician boyfriend while Kulish will be her rival.

Kulish will next be seen in the indie drama “Rivers of Milk and Honey.” He’s represented by Advantage Talent Management and Hirsch, Wallerstein, Hayum, Matlof, and Fishman.
