BERLIN — Bruce Willis sci-fi title “Vice” is on the verge of selling out, with Oliver Simon and Daniel Baur’s K5 Intl. selling the pic to 37 countries in just under a week.
Sales on Emmett/Furla/Oasis Films’ “Vice,” produced by Randall Emmett, George Furla and Adam Goldworm, stretched across Scandinavia, Russia, Benelux, Japan, China, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Thailand, Israel, Portugal, Russia, Czech/Slovak, Airlines and France — these added to previously announced deals in Germany, Poland, Ex Yugoslavia, Latin America, Middle East, Turkey, Greece and India.
K5 also saw good sales on its Simon Helberg comedy “We’ll Never Have Paris,” Neil LaBute’s Matthew Broderick and Alice Eve starrer “Dirty Weekend,” “Fast & Furious” spoof “Superfast” from The Safran Company and its documentary feature “Next Goal Wins” from Archer’s Mark and Agile Films.
“K5 has just recorded its best-ever market. It has been a very successful Berlin for us,” said Simon and Baur. “When your office is overrun and bidding wars break out in the corridor, you know you’re doing something right. We feel like we’re in a strong position to take this momentum forward to the Cannes Marché in May.”
