Berlin: iPhone Film ‘Hooked Up’ Set for Sales

Berlin Film Festival Berlinale

Raven Banner has acquired worldwide sales rights to Pablo Larcuen’s feature debut “Hooked Up,”  a movie  totally shot with an iPhone, and is launching sales at Berlin.

Jaume Collet-Serra (“Non-Stop”) and Juan Sola are executive producing through their Ombra Films banner.

The story follows two young Americans who go on a sex-fueled trip to Barcelona but things take an unexpected turn when  one of the women they pick up turns out to be incarnate of evil.

Larcuen’s short film “Mi Amigo Invisible” played at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival and won Best International Short Film at the Los Angeles Film Festival. His other short “Elefante” won the award for Best Short Film at the Sitges Film Festival in 2012.

“We’re thrilled to be representing Hooked Up,” says Raven Banner’s Michael Paszt. “Pablo Larcuen is an enormous talent.  It’s no small task to shoot on the iPhone and the results are quite impressive.”
