A Few Best men

Screenwriter turns director on Australian wedding comedy.

Dean Craig is to direct “A Few Less Men,” the sequel to Australian comedy hit “A Few Best Men.”

Craig previously wrote the 2011 original Stephan Elliott-directed film (pictured) and has also scripted the new picture.

Kevin Bishop, Kris Marshall and Xavier Samuel will return as the leads in a new story about wedding mayhem. The story is said to involve three men in ill-fitting wedding tuxedos, a coffin and travel plans gone inexplicably awry.

Laurence Malkin, Share Stallings, and Arclight’s Gary Hamilton, the team behind the original hit movie, have partnered with producer Tania Chambers on the sequel. Josh Kesselman will Executive Produce and Daniel Findlay will Co-Produce.

The start date is set for January 2015 in Western Australia.

Arclight Films is again handling international sales.

Malkin, Stallings and Chambers have just completed dark comedy thriller “Kill Me Three Times,” starring Simon Pegg, and Luke Hemsworth.
