M-Appeal Sells ‘Boys’ to U.K., Poland, France (EXCLUSIVE)

Teen romance previously picked up by Wolfe Releasing in the U.S.

LONDON — M-Appeal has sold all rights to Mischa Kamp’s “Boys” to Peccadillo Pictures in the U.K. and Tongariro in Poland. KMBO in France has taken theatrical rights to the pic.

The film had previously been sold to Wolfe Releasing in the U.S. and Salzgeber in Germany.

Pic centers on 15-year-old Sieger, who is an athlete training for the national relay championships. When he meets the intriguing and unpredictable Marc, he discovers feelings that go far beyond friendship.

Kamp’s credits include 2007′s “Where Is Winky’s Horse?,” which won the audience award at the Netherlands Film Festival.

The pic is produced by Pupkin Films, with which M-Appeal worked on Michiel ten Horn’s “The Deflowering of Eva van End.”

Peccadillo Pictures managing director Tom Abell said, “It’s lovely to be working with M-Appeal again, on this subtle adolescent romance, which we look forward to bringing to the U.K. and Ireland this year.”
