Australian-Singaporean survival drama “Canopy” has been acquired by distributors in the U.K., Canada and Australia.
Represented by Odin’s Eye Entertainment the film was acquired by Kaleidoscope Entertainment for the U.K. and by Kinosmith for Canada.
Odin’s Eye will handle Australian distribution.
Set in 1942 Singapore during World War II, “Canopy” is the story of an Australian fighter pilot (Khan Chittenden) who is shot down by the Japanese. As he navigates through a perilous jungle he encounters a friendly Chinese resistance fighter. Both men are struggling to survive and to communicate.
Directed by Aaron Wilson, “Canopy” debuted in Toronto and will be released in the U.S. by Monterey Media.
