Melbourne Festival Adds Robin Williams Tribute

The Melbourne Film Festival is to pay tribute to Robin Williams, who died Monday.

The Australian festival, which is already under way (July 31-Aug. 17), will put on a special screening of “Good Morning Vietnam” on Saturday. The wartime comedy-drama was directed by Barry Levinson and released in 1987.

“We here at MIFF were shocked and saddened to learn about the death of Robin Williams yesterday. He was, without question, one of the most adored actors of our time, and he leaves behind an extraordinary cinematic legacy,” said a statement from the festival. “Much has been written about it already, and there’s little else we can add so we pay tribute to the life of Robin Williams the best way we know how – with a special screening of one of his most beloved films.”
