BUSAN — Australian coming of age drama “My Mistress,” which stars France’s Emmanuelle Beart as a professional dominatrix, has been picked up for U.S. release by Film Movement.

Directed by Stephen Lance, “My Mistress” stars up and coming Australian actor Harrison Gilbertson as a vulnerable teenage boy who becomes obsessed with a mysterious French woman who moves into the neighborhood.

Film Movement plans to release the film on DVD and VoD as well as its Film of the Month streaming service.

The film, which premiere at the Melbourne and Cinefest Oz festivals in August, has been sold by LevelK to New Select for Japan, Sundream Motion Pictures for Hong Kong, Russian Report for Russia, and Film House for The U.K.

It opens theatrically in Australia on Nov. 6 through Transmission Films.
