Ted Harbert’s Ex Sells Canyon Colonial to Adam Sandler’s Partner Jack Giarraputo

Ted Harbert’s Ex Sells Canyon Colonial

Ages ago, this property gossip heard word that NBC chairman Ted Harbert’s ex-wife, Susan, floated the long-time divorced couple’s estate in Pacific Palisades as an off-market listing, with an asking price in the neighborhood of $20 million. So the scuttlebutt went, Reese Witherspoon initiated but canceled a purchase, and shortly thereafter, in February 2013, Ms. Harbert hoisted the property on the open market, at $18.5 million.

The price dropped to $14.25 million before Jack Giarraputo — Adam Sandler’s producing partner at Happy Madison — came along and shelled out $13.275 million for the 9,392-square-foot Southern-style mansion set on 2.17 private and pastoral acres at the tail end of a secluded canyon. In addition to the casually elegant center-hall Colonial — five bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a sweeping floating staircase and a gym tucked in to the eaves on the third floor — the landscaped estate has a guest cottage, swimming pool and sport court.
