Addition to console comes as WWE hosts "Extreme Rules" pay-per-view on Sunday

WWE has added its WWE Network to Microsoft’s Xbox One videogame console just days before its next pay-per-view, “Extreme Rules,” this Sunday.

The company has long said its new digital network would be added to the next-generation console this summer. The WWE Network was already available on the Xbox 360, as well as Sony’s PlayStation 3 and PS4. It can also be accessed on all Apple devices, including Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Kindle Fire, Android-powered devices, and WWE’s website.

Subscribers pay $9.99 a month, with a six-month committment, to watch the network’s original shows, as well as all PPVs, including “WrestleMania,” and content in its vast library.

Like other streaming services, WWE is hoping to boost subscriber counts by making sure the app for the network is available on as many devices as possible.
