BERLIN — Warner Bros. Intl. Television Distribution has inked a deal in Germany with Amazon’s subscription video-on-demand service Lovefilm for several animated series.

Among the newly added SVOD titles are cartoon classics like “Tom and Jerry” and “The Sylvester and Tweety Show,” super hero titles from DC Comics, “Batman: The Brave and the Bold” and “Superman,” “Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!,” “The Flintstones” and the comic adaption of Tim Burton’s horror-comedy “Beetlejuice.”

“Diversified entertainment for the whole family is one of the central topics for Amazon’s Lovefilm; this is why we are continuously expanding our wide-ranging SVOD offering for kids of every age,” said Christoph Schneider, M.D. Lovefilm Germany.

The animated series join the extensive TV show portfolio of series carried on Lovefilm Germany, including TV hit shows like “The Big Bang Theory,” “Two and a Half Men,” “Gossip Girl” and “Supernatural.”

Lovefilm has more than 2 million members in the U.K. and Germany, where it launched in 2006.
