Twitter will be hard to miss on the Xbox One when Microsoft integrates the social media platform on the videogame console’s TV listings.

Twitter will be one of 45 new entertainment apps that will be added to the Xbox One and Xbox 360 around the world. Others include Vine, HBO Go, GoPro, Showtime Anytime, USA Now, Syfy Now, Comedy Central, Major League Gaming by the end of the holiday season. The additions will increase 25%, giving Xbox’s console 225 apps.

“Xbox fans are spending more time than ever on the console, spending more than five hours a day on Xbox One,” said Yusuf Mehdi, corporate VP, devices and studios at Microsoft. “Today as we announce new commitments from dozens of our partners, including deep integration with experiences like Twitter and Vine, we hit an important milestone in our journey to deliver unique experiences on Xbox. We’re thrilled to break new ground in social TV experiences like we’re doing with Twitter on Xbox One.”

Microsoft is heavily touting Twitter in its latest announcement (see video above), with plans to integrate it into Xbox One’s TV listing platform in the U.S., offering the ability to see Tweets related to shows as they’re flowing through feeds in real-time. The shows will be spotlighted in a new trending section within the OneGuide so viewers can see what’s popular.

“People turn to Twitter every day to enjoy and engage in the real-time conversations about their favorite TV shows,” said Jana Messerschmidt, VP business development and platform at Twitter. “We’re enhancing that experience on the Xbox One with a unique Watch with Twitter integration. It will now be easier to discover what shows are trending in real-time on Twitter, tune-in and follow the conversation right from within the Xbox One interface. We are excited to work with the Xbox One team and continue to deliver unique entertainment experiences.”

As for the rest of the apps, MLG’s eSports app will become available in the coming weeks in time for its MLG X Games Invitational that will stream live from the X Games in Austin, Texas, from June 6-8 and the MLG Championship live from Anaheim, CA, from June 20-22.

New apps coming to the Xbox One in the U.S. include Comedy Central, Crunchyroll, Encore Play, Epix, Filmbox Live, Frightflix, Gol TV, GoPro, HBO Go, iHeartRadio, KDrama, MLG, Movieplex, MTV, NBA, NHL, Popcornflix, Showtime Anytime, Sky News, Starz Play, Syfy Now, Target Ticket, TuneIn, Twitter, USA Now, Vevo, VH1, Vine, Watch ABC, Watch Disney Channel, Watch Disney Junior, and Watch Disney XD.
