Sarah Palin Launches Her Own Channel Online

Sarah Palin — former governor of Alaska, erstwhile candidate for VP of the U.S. and polarizing public figure — has unveiled a new subscription-based Internet TV network that promises direct access to her and her supporters.

The Sarah Palin Channel, which costs $9.95 per month or $99.95 for a one-year subscription, will feature her commentary on “important issues facing the nation,” as well as behind-the-scenes looks into her personal life as “mother, grandmother, wife and neighbor.” Palin serves as executive editor, overseeing all content posted to the channel.

“I want to talk directly to you on our channel, on my terms — and no need to please the powers that be,” Palin, who is also a Fox News contributor, said in a video announcing the channel. “Together, we’ll go beyond the sound bites and cut through the media’s politically correct filter.”

Palin is producing the channel in partnership with Tapp, the online-video venture formed by Jeff Gaspin, former chairman of NBCUniversal Television, and Jon Klein, former president of CNN U.S.

The conservative pol’s online network is modeled on TheBlaze, the online-video network and website that ex-Fox News host Glenn Beck launched in 2011. TheBlaze TV is now also carried on Dish Network and regional cable systems.

Subscribers to the Sarah Palin Channel will have the ability to post their own videos to the website, submit questions to her, and participate in online video chats with her and other subscribers. The site includes a national debt ticker, and a countdown clock showing the number of days left in President Obama’s second term.

Active U.S. military members can subscribe free of charge, according to Tapp. For both monthly and yearly subscription plans, the first two weeks are free and users can cancel at any time during the trial period.

Gaspin, Klein and co-founder Michael Greer, former CTO of The Onion, announced Tapp in March 2014. The company’s first channel is Steve Arterburn’s New Life TV, hosted by the relationship counselor and radio host. According to Tapp, the Arterburn channel became profitable less than four months after launching.

Tapp investors include Discovery Communications and individuals including investment bankers Ken Moelis and Peter Ezersky. They were recently joined by Luminari Capital, a venture fund founded by Daniel Leff focused on digital video investments.

Other TV personalities that have jumped to the Internet include ex-CNN host Larry King, who now has an online talk show produced with Ora.tv, and Katie Couric, who joined Yahoo as global news anchor. Paula Deen, who lost her show on Food Network after racial comments that she made came to light, is planning to launch her own cooking channel online this fall.

I wouldn’t pay $9.95 for a century of her nonsrnse

  3. Sarah, I’m proud of you , we now can get down to the truth on issues, the answers won’t be sugar coated.

  4. WakeUpAmerica says:

Palin sycophants love to say that anyone who criticizes her is jealous. Wrong. There is a BIG difference between jealousy and being totally disgusted by the absolute absence of knowledge in a venomous, hateful person’s word salad and her screechy voice that sterilizes bats a mile away. Most of us are repulsed by her in every way. Repulsion and jealousy are very, very different.

    • WakeUpAmerica says:

Palin always uses a teleprompter and just lies about it. Are you that unobservant? Coherent? Her syntax is atrocious. Look at a written script if you can’t discern it by listening to her. She is a proven and consistent liar. Gave birth to Trig is one. Wasn’t found guilty of abuse of power except she was. Trig was born at Mat-su Hospital then said he was born at Anchorage. Here, this is the tip of the mountain of lies. There are many more. http://tinyurl.com/6rlg264 If her lips are moving, she’s lying.

She’s clearly aware she will never hold an office again, and this is an obvious & shameless money grab. As long as she’s no where near the White House, who cares. No one is going to pay for this crap. Beck’s channel only has ~300K subs and offers a lot more than she is offering, so you know what that means…. Any bets on how long it is until she quits?

WIll Sarah Palin s show also be broadcasted on DrecTV
    Please let me know
    Thanks

PS This is awesome news indeed !!

    • WakeUpAmerica says:

Of course not! She has to have millions more viewers to be on real TV not just ten deluded sycophants willing to flush $9.99 down the toilet each month. Believe me, you have already seen it all and heard all she has ever had to say. It will be recycled material as usual. Maybe she will have actually learned how to shoot a gun this time around.

  7. The generation that, in middle age, supported Jim & Tammy Bakker can how support this in their old age. Same fraud but in more bland costume with a side of word-salad. Well, they’re welcome to it as far as I’m concerned.

    • poetopoet says:

Your gurgitations are in the Demonic Stone Age of the democrat party union thugs that make-up-artists put lipstick on. Your “I’m concerned” yet you dare to reply to Sarah Palin’s business and performance accomplishments, shame, shame on you bonodo.

“I would live to listen” Please use the alternative method.

Go to the GAO and research exactly when the time frame was that the disproportionate accumulation of wealth began before you comment on that subject again. As for teacher unions and quality of education, you are greatly misinformed, I suspect by Fox News but who knows. Do you have any idea what teacher tenure means? Do you know it isn’t tenure like our corrupt immoral majority on the Supreme Court? Tenure for teachers means guaranteed due process of law. That means a vindictive principal who doesn’t like your kid’s GREAT teacher can’t just fire that person for no reason. Yeah that was happening. It means that a crappy principal can’t load your kid’s class with all the obnoxious or low kids and give another teacher all the great kids. Do you know why we have kindergartens? Because the teacher unions fought for it. True story. Do you know why bad teachers are hard to get rid of? It’s because the principals do not keep a paper trail. They are also too lazy or disorganized to properly evaluate their teachers, so when it becomes an issue, they have nothing legal to back up their claims. I know teachers who have taught 30 years and actually been properly evaluated three times. It’s usually a case of come in and sign the evaluation papers. Believe me, good teachers do not want bad teachers in the profession either nor do the unions. You are just repeating conservative memes that have no basis in fact. Teachers and unions DO NOT make education policy. That is your state department of education. Teachers do their best to carry out the policies which are sometimes ridiculous. Open your mind and educate yourself about the real culprits in education. There is a conservative lawyer, a woman, running for Congress in the South who has publicly claimed that Common Core mandates all sorts of controversial things be taught in Sex Ed. Common Core does not address sex ed at all. It is a complete fallacy and people believe her because she is a lawyer. Find out for yourself before you form your opinion. Go read the original documents, not somebody’s synopsis of it.

Jerry, my investments have almost tripled since President Obama came into office. My daughter was on my insurance longer and she can’t be denied insurance for a pre-existing condition. I also have a pre-existing condition that is now covered. That is huge progress. Unemployment is way down from 2008 and job creation is up in spite of the egregious obstructionism from the GOP. If you want to criticize something, criticize the Rethuglicans for their meeting on the inauguration day when they vowed to obstruct ANYTHING President Obama put forth. Any party that pulls something that outrageous on our country should be kicked straight out of Congress! Did it not occur to you that a move like that was self-serving and absolutely had nothing to do with the best interests of Americans like you and me. I don’t care what party you belong to, that should outrage every average American in this country.

  14. Sweeeeeeeeet Sarah says:

So funny and so absurd. Thanks for the laugh Susan!

  15. Steve says:

This article reminds me of two quotes from two wildly different public figures: “So many social mutants, so little time” and “There is no there, there.” The first is from David Letterman while the second is from Gertrude Stein.

  16. WakeUpAmerica says:

NOBODY makes venomous, derogatory remarks as consistently as Sarah Palin. Like or hate President Obama or Hillary Clinton, they always exhibit classiness and intelligence. You would never hear either of them be so vulgar as to say someone was “limp and impotent” or “shuck and jive” or “assclowns.” She promotes hate and nothing else. She never has solutions. Her remarks about the President spending other people’s money false on deaf ears when one considers what she did as Mayor of Wasilla. They had 1mil in debt when she went into office. She left them with 21mil debt by the time she left. Do you really think she is a fiscal conservative? NEVER! She raided the roads fund to the tune of over $50K to re-decorate her office without permission from the council. THAT’S the person you want as president of anything, people? Seriously? She’s all smoke and mirrors and just banks on feeding into the fears and hate of her followers. She’s a waste of skin.

    • Kara says:

I challenge you to cite one quote from Sarah Palin that is venomous as you claim.

    • Richard Rogers says:

wakeupamerica….Hate? Venomous? Derogatory remarks? You have demonstrated hate and venom for Sarah Palin. “Waste of skin”… How is this not your hate? I like Sarah Palin…I have no hate. You have a very wide brush you use to paint people you hate with. You seem to be a good obumabot….

      • WakeUpAmerica says:

Richard, you have just demonstrated that you have no ability to be objective or to do real research on a subject. The weight of evidence to prove my point would crush you like a bug. Wake up. As for “waste of skin,” that infers that she has no redeeming social value. I have done copious, quality research into Sarah Palin and her history, mainly primary resources. IMHO she demonstrates no genuine compassion for other humans. Therefore, a waste of skin. It isn’t hate, though, it is disdain and disgust.

      • Sweeeeeeeeet Sarah says:

Richard Sarah is up there with Adolf. Get real. It is right and correct to characterize her hate with our own outrage without being hypocritical. If by any bizarre chance you are a person who holds out hope for her success then you are an idiot.

  17. Sweeeeeeeeet Sarah says:

Sean really you need to become objective here- Sarah is far more polarizing than any other political figure out there on any side. Her whole M.O. is to tear the country apart by creating panic and fear where there should be none so she can position herself as a necessary solution to people like you who are dumb enough or unethical enough not to see what’s really going on. Go away. Your ship has already been sunk by the S.S. Social Progress

  18. Sweeeeeeeeet Sarah says:

Hahahaha She’s tired of the media filters but not the people filters- she has disabled comments on YouTube.

    • WakeUpAmerica says:

And that’s how she rolls. It’s beyond me how her supporters can be oblivious to the hypocrisy. Free speech for her but not for anyone who disagrees with her. Same on her FB. She’s extremely venomous with her remarks and equally thin-skinned if anyone disagrees with her or criticizes her. She can’t handle it. It’s impossible to have intellectual discourse with her or her hateful fans. If you ask one of them to support their argument with links or proof of some kind, they become rabid. They are mostly low info voters and have no interest in doing research to see if their own points of view are valid.

      • WakeUpAmerica says:

Dan, that isn’t how YouTube operates, and it also isn’t how FB operates. It is deliberate on her part same as her shadow blog at Conservatives4Palin. What are they afraid of?

      • Sweeeeeeeeet Sarah says:

Dan, no conservtard, YouTube does not. SHE set it up that way.

      • Sweeeeeeeeet Sarah says:

Well said! Of course she has hand-picked followers who are too stupid and too stubborn to see what you mead clearly or fairly.

  19. WakeUpAmerica says:

Conservatives, you can blame and hate all you want, but I want to hear specific solutions that help the middle class rather than the 1% who now have 95% of the wealth thanks to the Bush/Reagan policies. Are you really unaware of that? Do you not know that the GOP is using you to get whatever money you may have left? You need to focus on SOLUTIONS THAT INVIGORATE THE MIDDLE CLASS which aLways lead to a robust economy. Don’t believe it? Go to the General Accounting Office website and do some real research. You are being used by the 1% to help them not to help you and your family.

    • WakeUpAmerica says:

And you owe the 1% nothing. They got their wealth off the sweat of your back and mine and are too greedy to fairly share. While their profits go up because of our hard work, they cut pay, benefits, and work force. You and I are paying more taxes than they are to keep this country running. Their corporations are getting huge tax breaks and have unfair influence in this country. The middle class keeps struggling on with less and less money to spend. If you think having such a disproportionate amount of money in the hands of the few (plutocracy) is good for America, then you understand NOTHING about economics. The middle class is moving toward serfdom. Open your eyes, think about it, and stop being a tool for the extremely wealthy. Go to the GAO site and look at how income has grown for the 1% vs the rest of us. If it doesn’t totally shock you and piss you off, then you don’t really value yourself and the effort you put in to make your employer wealthy.

    • Sweeeeeeeeet Sarah says:

Ted you are nothing more than a reactionary fool. Nobody here said they were entitled to a living so drop your macho flamboyant hard-ass tone and pay attention to what people are saying here. Its fair and reasonable to expect politicians to articulate a plan of action as a leader. Otherwise what do we need to pay people like Sarah Palin for? So put down your gun and use your brain for the first time in life. Apparently God gave you one to use- so use it already.

  20. Sweeeeeeeeet Sarah says:

Y’all I sure do hope our Bible-belivin’ Sarah will use this new platform to draw attention to the increasin’ problem of the high falootin’ intellectual city slickers who strive to unravel the very fabric of our society! Praise Jesus Christ our Lord who hates fags and who should be in charge of this great country and let’s pray to the lord he strikes down the city slickers who would pervert our unwed children as they go about their ways as young parents. AMEN SARAH!!!! JESUS, PLEASE TEAR DOWN THE WALL THAT IS SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE!!!!!!!

  21. WakeUpAmerica says:

Sarah Palin, a once beautiful woman, shows marked signs of mental illness and drug addiction. They are so obvious that it makes one wonder why her sycophants choose to ignore the signs. She goes from extremely hyper with rapid breathing and extreme facial expressions to slurred speech, hooded eyes and complete incoherency from one TV or speech appearance to another. There is no consistency in looks or behavior. Very odd. Couple that with the extreme weight loss to the point of being unhealthy.

Those of you who are so enraptured with her, have you not noticed that her comments are always the same old recycled ones from years past? Have you not noticed that while she hates and hates on “the other side” and this administration, she NEVER offers concrete solutions? I mean, I got it in 2008 that she thinks America is headed in the wrong direction. What are her specific solutions? The only one I can remember ever hearing from her was so ludicrous that I burst out laughing; she suggested dikes for the BP oil spill. “Create jobs.” Ok, how? What’s the plan? “Solve the immigration crises.” Ok, what’s your plan, Sarah?

Those of you who support her should be looking beyond the smoke and mirrors. Look at what she is really saying and promoting. I hear a lot of venom and no solutions.

  22. badmoodman says:

Glenn Beck has ‘The Blaze.’ This will be ‘The Daze.’ Queen Esther’s sycophants will pay good money every month to read poorly written, illogical, baseless, alcohol-fueled opinions about the events of the day. Bliss in the bubble.

  23. Robert says:

Yeah, just like they hired foreign-based hackers to take down Ted Nugent’s web site.

Progressives have never seemed scared of Sarah Palin, and certainly don’t seem scared now that she’s a has-been. What am I missing Larry “Glock” ?

PS – using terms like “bedwetter” not only makes you sound childish but quite weird.

  24. Chris says:

Is this for real???? I certainly hope so and would gladly fork over $99 just for the entertainment factor. I hope the sensibility will be EXTRA SNARKEY!

  25. steveobro says:

You are delusional. Hasn’t Newt Gingrich had multiple divorces while cheating on his deathly ill wife? Your points are mute. She wasn’t qualified and remains as such.

  26. Robert says:

None of them care. Sarah Palin is like a female Ted Nugent.

PS – I wonder if conservatives will comment on your PMS reference, they have been commenting heavily on the “leftist commie progressive’s war on women”.

  27. So excited for this – it is my hope that her critics listen and watch what she says and does – critique her views and be grown ups without attacking her. If you research the Palin History it will be something to emulate. She believes in our Country’s greatness.

    • Chris says:

Y’all I sure do hope our Bible-belivin’ Sarah will use this new platform to draw attention to the increasin’ problem of the high falootin’ intellectual city slickers who strive to unravel the very fabric of our society! AMEN SARAH!!!! MR JESUS, PLEASE TEAR DOWN THE WALL THAT IS SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE!!!!!!!

  28. Patrick says:

The incessant hatred of this lady by those in entertainment and “news” media (and the free advertising) have made and continue to make her a wealthy person. She has been crying all the way to the bank over the vitriolic coverage of her activities. She is probably one of the smartest persons to ever “suffer” their wrath.

  29. snowind85 says:

She does have high cheek bones!

  30. Robert says:

You won’t be getting “unbiased news media”, you’ll be getting home movies of Sarah the Sociopath, and not many of them. Go for it cowgirl !

PS – I bet you’re wrong and it does get posted.

  31. Robert says:

No, not really. It makes them laugh.

  32. Paw says:

Given her past employment history, it’s a good bet this never gets off the ground in a meaningful way. 24 hours a day is a lot of time to fill and I’m betting this “channel” will have a lot of filler and very little “killer”. Sarah loves money but has no idea how much effort it will take to provide enough relevant content to please her subscribers .

Besides, $10 a month is a ridiculous price, given the typical price of subscription services with actual value (Netflix, Hulu, Acorn, etc.). Will she now refrain from her ridiculous commentary (in the mainstream media she professes to hate) on things she knows nothing about, in order to provide exclusives to her subscribers? Doubt it.

  33. labman57 says:

Having Sarah Snidemeister be responsible for screening/filtering (read: censoring) all of the content to be delivered on this new cable channel is akin to allowing a 5-year old decide what will be on the family dinner menu each night.

Marshmallow cream soup and spaghetti w/cotton candy sauce, here we come!

  34. Cowgirl says:

Well said and amen to that!!

  35. jsm1963 says:

    Supporters for what?

    • steveobro says:

Liberals “lose their minds” because they can’t believe people like Casca actually take this woman seriously. That’s why. She couldn’t finish a Governor term and right wingers especially her up. It’s scary more than anything.

  36. Mark says:

I should also add if Palin truly believed she had something important to say to try change the world she wouldn’t hide out in friendly places like Fox news or her own channel, she would go to non friendly places where she could get called out for any of her BS. But more power to her though, like many who make money of the far right types in the Conservative Entertainment complex, Palin is just milking suckers for all they are worth.

  37. Mark says:

Another person trying to make a buck on the Conservative Entertainment complex.

  38. Michael says:

  39. rfm says:

“U GO GIRL”… Hey Jack\k, your intelligence is showing:)

  40. jacj\k says:

Im a conservative and shes an embarrassment beyond words. She needs to go back to AK and shut the F up. Dumb C%$T

    • Robert says:

Half-Governor bro. Remember she quit after a year ?

    • Jim Rall says:

jacj\k – sorry but that kind lying is rather obviuos

    • Adam says:

How is she an embarrassment? Because she threatens Republicans like yourself? Perhaps you should shut the F up.

    • AzCactusJack says:

Obviously you’re not a conservative. The media portrays her in a different light and some Americans… such as yourself… just listen to what the media tells them. When I first heard about this venture I thought it was strange, but it does have merit. Being able to get your message across to the population without having the media put their own spin on it is a smart thing to do. I personally believe there needs to be a format like YouTube where during an election cycle polititians can convey their message. Even those that have different beliefs then mine, I want to hear them all and have an open debate.

      • sammyglick says:

There’s already a format like YouTube for Conservatives; it’s called Fox News and AM Talk Radio (along with YouTube itself to watch clips from your favorite Conservative/Tea Party politicians). Looks like Ms. Palin has plenty of suckers to make another dime off of, since they’re all brainwashed into thinking the ‘lamestream’ media somehow stifles open debate.

  41. Sarah Beckham says:

Okay…then why would someone that successful in ridding Alaska of corruption on behalf of her constituents quit?

  42. Prince Bowaa says:

Jane: You were never a democrat and you are no female

    • Cowgirl says:

I was in a hurry and mispelled a few words but so be it. If anyone wants to complain about that bring that on too. Its your only way to put someone down you just need to get off here and the internet!! There is no edit button or I would correct it get over it…

  43. poetopoet says:

You must be one of the Wise Men?

  44. Prince Bowaa says:

Finally we will get the Low IQ folks off the Kim Kardashian show. Way to go Palin!!!

  45. Prince Bowaa says:

If u want to see a rightist go bananas say the name Obama

  46. Whats the best way to keep female competition away for Hillary in 2016? Give them a TV show.

  47. LWC says:

Actually the ‘foaming at the mouth’ you observe, is the Coca-Cola shooting from our nose every time she speaks and the Tea Party swoons.

  48. Woody says:

“I want to talk directly to you on our channel, on my terms” and my terms are $10 bucks a month or $100 bucks a year. And that’s about the sum total of what she’s truly worth.

  49. John Davila says:

I heard that on the first night she will be premiering her new movie “Nalin Palin 3, This Time it’s Really Me”

  50. walshaw2 says:

“Name calling is so fascist and typical.”

Yep, that’s Sarah Palin, all right, whose every word thought, word and deed is motivated by hubris, hate and hypocrisy.

How amusing that Sarah believes she won’t have to “answer” to anyone, now that she’s jumped into bed with a handful of successful, entertainment-industry, money moguls.

Palin’s not scary to intellectually honest, morally certain people who actually make worthwhile, meaningful contributions to our society. She’s just pathetic, not too bright, and probably mentally unstable – but she’s the perfect poor man’s sop, to keep the old, white, male sheeple believing in “The American Dream” and their own “God-given” birthrights in this “land of the free and home of the brave.”

Sarah Palin’s entire, 21st-century, career trajectory is straight out of the “Carry A Nation Handbook” for how to become a notorious, female, celebrity figure in the USA.
