“Relativity is an agile, legacy-free content company built for the digital world,” Courtin said. “We have a unique opportunity to leverage each division’s compelling, engaging content to reach global audiences in entirely new ways while also empowering brands to tell their stories like never before.”
Courtin, who is the former president of Dentsu Aegis Network, will lead marketing initiatives for film, TV and sports as well as oversee all branding and advertising campaigns. She will also oversee Madvine, the company’s branded entertainment and consumer products arm, and the current Relativity Digital operation.
Courtin will report jointly to CEO Kavanaugh and president Tucker Tooley. The digital division she’s launching will increase in scale through a combination of organic growth and acquisitions and work closely with Madvine.

Throughout her career, Angela has connected some of the world’s most recognized brands with consumers in innovative and engaging ways.”
In February, Relativity hired Roger Mincheff, former president of Myspace Entertainment and head of branded entertainment at Fox Filmed Entertainment, to run Relativity Digital Studios with a focus on branded digital content. Mincheff reports to Courtin, a studio rep said.
Prior to her work at Dentsu Aegis, Courtin was chief content officer for Aegis Media and president of the Story Lab. She previously worked at MTV and Myspace and was an associate producer on the HBO series “Big Love.”
Relativity’s films include “Safe Haven,” “Act of Valor,” “Immortals” and “The Fighter.” Upcoming releases include “The November Man,” starring Pierce Brosnan, and Nicholas Sparks’ “The Best of Me.”
