Pivot will air “Mixtape by SoulPancake” at 8:30 p.m. Eastern on Mondays, starting next week. The TV program will repackage a number of series from the YouTube channel, produced by and starring Wilson (NBC’s “The Office”), into six 15-minute clips. Sketches are to include “Metaphysical Milkshake,” “Science of Happiness,” “Stories From the Street” and “Art Attack.”
In each episode of “Mixtape by SoulPancake,” Wilson forces people into the back of his 1970s van to converse about philosophical topics. Guests have included Mindy Kaling (“The Mindy Project,” “The Office”); Joseph Gordon-Levitt (“Inception,” Pivot’s “HitRecord on TV”); actress Olivia Wilde; Serj Tankian from the band System of a Down; comedian Russell Brand; and Elon Musk, founder of Tesla and Space X.
Pivot, which launched nationally Aug. 1, 2013, is aimed at a millennial audience with a mix of original series, acquired programming, films and documentaries.
Wilson’s SoulPancake channel on YouTube has 1.3 million subscribers. SoulPancake’s productions include “Kid President,” a YouTube series that was picked up earlier this year by The Hub Network, a joint venture of Discovery Communications and Hasbro.
