pretty-little-liars

Want to dress just like the characters on “Pretty Little Liars”? There’s a site for that.

Launching today and claiming to have “the world’s largest database of entertainment and television based items,” the Pradux platform keeps tabs on the costumes worn on fashion-heavy TV shows like the ABC Family teen sudser (pictured above). Users can log on to search by their favorite shows and follow links to correlating products for sale via outlets like Net-a-Porter, Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus. (A separate component allows budding fashionistas to post photos of their own stylish ensembles and earn cash if someone orders an item through their page).

Pradux’s launch seems inevitable, as fashion bloggers have long chronicled what characters on shows like “Gossip Girl” and “Scandal” were wearing and costume designers like “Mad Men’s” Janie Bryant and “Liars’” own Mandi Line have become as famous as the actors they dress. Add this to the fact that the purchasing component of second-screen viewing is a staple for teen programming — particularly for music, as networks like ABC Family, MTV and the CW will tease their alternative music soundtracks onscreen during broadcasts — and it could be a retail windfall.
