New Google Glass App: Look at a Film Poster, See a Trailer

YouTubing movie trailers on a cell phone or computer is so 2013. A new app for Google Glass lets users bypass these devices entirely.

Preview, which just left beta status this week, allows Glass-wearers to simply look at a movie poster and the trailer for that film will start to play. Users can even skip from one poster to the next while in “preview mode.” The glasses will keep up — playing each trailer along the way.

The app was designed by Takahiro Horikawa, and his idea is to have people go to a movie theater, look at the posters there and then ultimately decide what to watch. The database will continue to be updated with new movie trailers as they become available.
