The world’s largest provider of online video content for millennials will manage Steve-O’s YouTube channel and co-develop original programming consisting mainly of comedic pranks and stunt videos. Branded content initiatives is part of the mix.
Nearly two million people have subscribed to Steve-O’s channel since it launched in September and his videos have received over 16 million views collectively. His collaboration with 50 Cent in “50 Cent vs. Steve-O” has been watched over two million times.
“I have a gnarly list of ideas and plenty of crazy left in me and it’s going to show in my channel,” Steve-O said in a statement. “People have high expectations and partnering with Maker will bring fresh content to my channel and it will hopefully push me to go to a place I haven’t been.”
Maker also recently announced a partnership with Will.i.am to develop and manage an online video platform and has inked additional online series deals with Warner Bros.’ Studio 2.0 and Red Hour Digital.
