The complete collection of acclaimed TV series “Breaking Bad” earned the top prize at the fourth annual Home Media Magazine Awards, which honor the best DVDs and Blu-ray Discs of 2013.

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment’s “Breaking Bad: The Complete Series” not only won Title of the Year, but also Best TV Series Megaset.

The 50th anniversary celebration of British sci-fi series “Doctor Who,” distributed on disc by BBC Home Entertainment, also collected several awards. The seventh season of “Doctor Who” won Best International TV Series on Disc, the 50th anniversary special “The Day of the Doctor” won Best Sci-Fi on Disc, and “Doctor Who: Series 1-7 Limited Edition Blu-ray Giftset” won Fan-Favorite Title on Disc based on a month-long consumer vote.

TV on Disc of the Year went to Anchor Bay Entertainment’s “The Walking Dead: The Complete Third Season.” A special edition of the third season of “Walking Dead” emulating the Governor’s walker-head fish tanks took Best Packaging.

Blu-ray Disc of the Year went to Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment’s “Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase One — Avengers Assembled,” a deluxe boxed set of “The Avengers” and the superhero films that led up to it.

HBO Home Entertainment’s “Game of Thrones: The Complete Second Season” won three trophies, including Best Current Series, Best AV Quality — TV and Best Fantasy Disc.

Disney tied with 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment with five awards each. HBO Home Entertainment and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment each collected four trophies.

Winners were chosen by a panel of judges in conjunction with an online consumer vote for eligible titles submitted for consideration by studios and distributors.
