Ile de France Film Commission’s Ecoprod Bows Nicolas Deveaux’ Short

Ile de France Film Commission's Ecoprod

ANNECY– The Ile de France Film Commission has selected Nicolas Deveaux’ two-minute animated short, “La girafe et le pique-boeuf” to promote Ecoprod, a collective whose goal is to reduce the environmental footprint of productions.

Produced by Paris-based Cube, the short was unveiled today by Ile de France Film Commission’s managing director Olivier René Veillon at Annecy Intl. Animation Film Festival.

Aiming to raise awareness among industry players and provide them with environmental-friendly tools, Ecoprod has been gaining grounds and is now being used by the majority of French and foreign productions shooting in Ile de France, according to Veillon.

Deveaux is an up-and-coming animation director who graduated from Supinfocom and broke through with the short film “5 metres 80.” This year, he directed the nine segments that served to introduce the animated shorts nominated for an Academy Award.
