With 5.8 million followers on Vine, Furlan has used the six-second video app to introduce her various characters, including Natalie Nature, “Martha” and “The Beekeeper.” After posting collections of her Vine videos on YouTube, Furlan racked up 1.6 million views in two months. She also stars in the network’s first original digital comedy “Super Happy Fun Time Yay!” set to launch this month on beyondCOMEDY hub.
“Furlan’s unique brand of humor makes her a perfect fit for our beyondCOMEDY vertical,” Endemol Beyond USA president Will Keenan said in a statement. “Her potential to extend beyond the Vine platform became clear instantly because it is impossible to watch only one of her short-form pieces of hilarious content. We are eager to introduce her star status and her talents to other entertainment platforms and we look forward to help grow and expand her brand beyond digital.”
Furlan added, “Calling Endemol home gives me the opportunity to continue to develop digital content and parlay from Vine to long form and traditional platforms. We will be developing an online show format based on my ‘adults say the darndest things’ concept for the digital space with the potential to expand the format. I look forward to Endemol Beyond presenting this show at the NewFronts in May.”
Since it launched at the end of last year, Endemol Beyond has received over 250 million views per month.
