Producer started entertainment news revolution
Linda Bell Blue, the veteran producer who logged 19 years as executive producer of “Entertainment Tonight,” is being honored for her work in revolutionizing the way entertainment news is produced and consumed. “We’ve always worked very closely with publicists to provide a platform for their clients to reveal their stories and promote their latest projects,” says Bell Blue, who also served as exec producer of “The Insider.” “The relationships we have with this group of professionals are essential for producing a top-notch show every day. We simply could not do it without them.”
She recently signed a multiyear deal to transition to her new role as president of the newly created Entertainment Tonight Studios, where she will oversee the creation of “E.T.”-branded series and specials for cable, broadcast and digital platforms. The Missouri native and Emmy Award-winning producer joined “E.T” after executive-producing “Hard Copy” and, prior to that, KCBS-TV news in Los Angeles.
