Kirsten Dunst Wears Star Wars Dress to Met Gala

Apparently fanboys weren’t the only ones excited about the recent Star Wars casting announcement. That or actress Kirsten Dunst is still celebrating May the Fourth. On Monday night, the actress made a strong impression on fanboys and fashionistas alike at the Met Gala in New York, where Dunst wore a black, Star Wars-themed starry dress with the franchise’s evil Death Star displayed on the bottom.

Thoughts on the Star Wars dress?

  1. Greetings! This is my first comment here so I just wanted to give
a quick shout out and say I really enjoy reading
your articles. Can you recommend any other blogs/websites/forums
that cover the same topics? Thank you so much!

  2. I love the classic 1940s style with a modern twist, and it compliments her figure exquisitely, I’m also a huge Star Wars fan so the magnitude of my “geek out” status is rather intense.

  3. Brideau says:

It’s rodarte’s new line so yeah it belonged at the met gala……

  4. cecho says:

    I think it’s fun!

  5. Luis says:

Still celebrating May the 4th? Don’t you know?! It’s called Revenge of the Fifth (sith)

  6. BillUSA says:

Y’know, it might just be me, but Kirsten seems to have some sort of negative attitude going lately. She seems so…..so…..Rosie O’Donnell-ish in her demeanor. Not something obvious mind you, but something just under the surface that suggests dissatisfaction or anger.

I hope I’m wrong, I always liked her as an actress, but there’s something that doesn’t seem quite right with her.

Oh, the dress. So unnecessary and out of place.

    • Shae says:

Out of place? This is the Met Gala, where you wear extravagant and extremely unique outfits. I think this was spot on.

    • DC says:

Maybe it has something to do with preparing for an upcoming role? I’m just spitballing here.

  7. Dav says:

Good Lord! What’s up with all the spam postings on this site?!?

  8. Joel says:

The Force is with Kirsten Dunst.

  9. More and more, however, people are taking things into their own hands and producing personalised photo books.
Use of a coated paper stock is a standard in achieving
the best quality. He’s done it again, Greg Farley has written yet another wonderful book on photography.

  10. loan says:

Way cool! Some extremely valid points! I appreciate you penning this write-up and also the rest
of the site is very good.

  11. Best dressed! My new celebrity crush! She rocks that dress! Well done Kirsten! *sigh* ♥♥ Awesome! Awesome

  12. Scott123 says:

Best dressed! My new celebrity crush! You know how much actual confidence you have to have to wear this to the Met? She is….She is…the cheerleader who would talk to me. *sigh* ♥♥ Awesome! Awesome!

  13. Dave N says:

Perhaps she didn’t have anything else clean to wear?

    • Gert says:

That kind of reply is why girls avoid anything nerdy. Grow up dude. Women love Star Wars as much as guys do and for better reasons I might add. You should be ashamed of yourself. Not only is that dress beautiful on it’s own, it’s personal and clever and creative. Several things I imagine you are not.

      • Carol Gibson says:

I agree with you. I myself am tired of the fake geek girl meme. I think the dress flatters her and it is fun. Fashion should be fun. If the dress had silk screen flowers instead of the Death Star no would bat an eye. And it would be just another boring dress.

      • BillUSA says:

        Anger much?
