Justin Bieber Will Not Serve Jail Time In DUI Case

Bieber Fever Outbreak Sweeps Cable News

Justin Bieber will plead guilty on Wednesday to less severe charges resulting from his arrest in South Florida for driving under the influence and what was described as an illegal drag race, according to the Associated Press.

The 20 year-old pop star will reportedly plead guilty to misdemeanor careless driving and resisting arrest without violence charges, rather than the initial DUI charge. He will not serve any jail time.

Bieber has also agreed to make a $50,000 charitable donation and take an anger management course on top of the court-ordered fines.

He is not expected in court on Wednesday.

Big shock – celebrities almost never serve jail time in cases normal citizens would be locked up for months for.

You can see why – the jail would become a zoo with the press camped outside for daily updates – but yes, it’s still disturbing, proving you really can buy your way out of anything if your conviction would be a big enough hassle/cost enough for extra security for your jailers.

  4. Deidra says:

Why does that not surprise me. Another celeb and another light sentence, these judges need to man up and put them in jail or make them go rehab. A regular person would have a stiffer sentence, $50,000. is nothing to him.

  6. Stardoc says:

there was no case against JB….i dont know y ppl are blaming the US court system or celeb justice..he was NOT racing (CCTV camera and GPS showed that)….his alcohol level was normal (test confirmed)…if JB didnt react to the officer and said “officer, with all due respect i refuse to answer any of your questions without a lawyer present.are u placing me under arrest or am i free to go?” JB implicated himself by admitting to Xanax and marijuana and that gave the police enough to arrest him….if JB said those magic words then the officer would have had to let him go with a warning and get cited for invalid license…
Guys, take notes, the police WILL try to trick you to implicate yourself…remember YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO REMAIN SILENT….know your rights…
