Jon Voight Slams Penelope Cruz, Javier Bardem for Bashing Israel

Actor calls on 'peers who signed that poison letter' to avoid inciting anti-Semitism

The war raging in the Middle East has divided observers all over the world regarding the actions of Israelis and Palestinians. The entertainment industry is no exception, as a wide range of celebrities have publicized their own opinions. They include Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz, who earlier this week signed a letter published in a Spanish newspaper condemning Israel, only to issue statements days later clarifying their own distaste for anti-Semitism. But those actions weren’t enough for veteran actor Jon Voight, a staunch longtime supporter of Israel who penned his thoughts below on this controversial subject.

My name is Jon Voight and I am more than angry. I am heartsick that people like Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem could incite anti-Semitism all over the world and are oblivious to the damage they have caused.

They are obviously ignorant of the whole story of Israel’s birth, when in 1948 the Jewish people were offered by the UN a portion of the land originally set aside for them in 1921, and the Arab Palestinians were offered the other half.  The Arabs rejected the offer, and the Jews accepted, only to be attacked by five surrounding Arab countries committed to driving them into the sea.  But the Israelis won.  The Arabs tried it again in 1967, and again in 1973, launching a sneak attack on the holiest Jewish holiday.  Each time the Jews prevailed but not without great loss of life.  And when Israel was not fighting a major war, it was defending itself against terrorist campaigns.

And yet Israel has always labored for a peaceful relation with its Arab neighbors. It voluntarily returned the Sinai Peninsula to Egypt in return for peace, and gave the Palestinians all of Gaza as a peace gesture. What was the response? The Palestinians elected Hamas, a terrorist organization, and they immediately began firing thousands of rockets into Israel.

After years of trying to make peace, the wars they had to fight, being attacked by their enemies, and still being attacked, and finally after years of running into bomb shelters and having hundreds of civilians killed by suicide bombers, civilians being killed in their sleep, stabbed to pieces, finding enough is enough and finally retaliating, instead of my peers sticking up for the only democratic country in that region, they go and take out poison letters against them.

You have forgotten how this war started.  Did Hamas not kidnap and kill three young teenagers for the sake of killing, and celebrated after the killing?  What a travesty of justice.

I am asking all my peers who signed that poison letter against Israel to examine their motives.  Can you take back the fire of anti-Semitism that is raging all over the world now?

You have been able to become famous and have all your monetary gains because you are in a democratic country: America.  Do you think you would have been able to accomplish this in Iran, Syria, Lebanon, et cetera?  You had a great responsibility to use your celebrity for good.  Instead, you have defamed the only democratic country of goodwill in the Middle East: Israel.

You should hang your heads in shame.  You should all come forth with deep regrets for what you did, and ask forgiveness from the suffering people in Israel.

He’s just gaining Brownie points in Hollywood. True ass-kisser.

  2. Tony says:

This Pat Croton is a perfect example of ignorance who twists & spews lies & ignores historical facts to the point of ridiculousness. Put a muzzle on it before you choke on your own vomit, Pat Cretin!!

  3. Pat Croton says:

nice picture for such a shallow thinker; got joan rivers too?

  4. Pat Croton says:

Thank you U2, Roger Waters, Annie Lennox, Vanessa Redgrave, Peter O’toole for speaking out and not legitimizing Israel. Carlos Santana, the Pixies, and Stevie Wonder have also respected aspects of the boycott of Israel. Thank you for taking the risks and paying the costs for supporting the victims and have nots, compared to Mr. Void who caters to the economic, political, social, and media elite, and also serves his own interests–financial and place in Hollywood history.

Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters: Why moral perversity of U.S. position in Gaza is stunning

    http://www.salon.com/2014/08/25/pink_floyds_roger_waters_why_moral_perversity_of_u_s_position_in_gaza_is_stunning/

  6. Pat Croton says:

Vanessa Redgrade was correct in 1978 and even more so today. Zionist thugs, intellectual terrorists, and deceiving liars.

    • Pat Croton says:

I wonder if Mr. Void would have the patriotic guts to change his mind about Israel if he talked to the survivors of the USS Liberty who all claim Israel purposefully attacked in 1967 killing and wounding many dozens of Americans on board, since investigated and covered up by our government. Killing innocent Arab civilians and children are ok with him, but how about American soldiers? And, there is a litany of other American national security interests damaged by Israel.

    • Diane DeMarco says:

To the poor illiterate Pat. Your comments are ungrammatical, misspelled and just plain ignorant. I feel sorry for you so I will desist from attacking your stupidity. Perhaps you should return to school.

      • Pat Croton says:

you must think me dangerous otherwise you would not have responded. by the way, just because you assert something dianstein, doesn’t make it true. also: style is not substance. present substance and then we will see who is just plain ignorant. you might have money, but you likely have just an ordinary education. remember, paralegals like lawyers–a waste of a good mind.

  7. Pat Croton says:

Mr. Void is a knee jerk, self righteous, Zionist ideologue who lives within a very narrow paradigm which does not mesh well with real history, consistent principles of human rights, and the heavy world wide majority today would likely vote in the UN to make Palestine a nation-state and remove a mistake, Israel.

  8. Ty Fleming says:

If Israel’s attacks on these terrorists are sometimes quote on quote “overkill.” It is because these cowards over in the Arab nations surround their missiles with children and innocent people who are caught in the crossfire. The Israeli military does not blatantly target civilians. People like Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem should do their research before issuing stupid statements such as this. Thank you Mr. Voight for citing history here to back up your points and for all the wisdom you had to enlighten us with. We back you 100%! Cruz and Bardem…. Shame on you!

  9. MG says:

to Michael T. Where is your truth Michael? “They” will be coming for you because, unless you subscribe to their virulent form of Islam (and I’m not referring to “moderate” Muslims) ISIS and other terrorists think of you as the infidel and are sworn to eliminate you. So take your head out of the sand and try to appreciate the poblems the one ally the US has in the middle east. Haas is busy with them now, but they will not stop. And ISIS is slaughtering thousands of people in many Muslim countries. If I may ask, what country are you from?

    • Michael Tattva says:

MG: I told you earlier that I would never support movements like ISIS, because of their violent and destructive nature. Anything based on violence and dictatorship is heading in the wrong direction.
Anyway, ISIS is not the issue here, but Israel is, in relation to the use of excessive force. The other issue here is the way Jon Voight is demonizing fellow actors and the only reason he does that is because they were critizing Israel for using excessive force. That is in no way (inciting) anti-Semitism.
And since you really want to know, I live in Israel.

  10. Liza ellins says:

    Bravo Jon Voight

You are a man of integrity, compassion and knowledgeable with the Jewish history staunch, supporter for what is right.
Thank you for standing and recognizing how ignorance of your fellow actors, the likes of Bardem an Penelope Cruz who literally caused major damage due to their stupidity. All their movies and future projects will be not seen by my family and friends.

    • Michael Tattva says:

Liza, are you always the one who’s making all choices for your family and friends? I mean, can’t they make their own decisions? Let’s not forget that Bardem and Cruz are great actors! And… “who literally caused major damage due to their stupidity”? They are two people who dare to tell the truth. But I know, the truth can be painful sometimes.

      • MG says:

Michael T: You talk a lot about the “truth”. How exactly is it that YOU know what the truth is? Even the UN has said that Hamas is lying. And how do you feel about ISIS? They’re in Gaza and everywhere else. Are you Muslim enough for them. Watch out. After Israel, they could be coming for you. What will you do? Where will you run? You could go to Israel and they will welcome and protect you.

  11. My Grand-parents were survivors of the Holocaust and taught me how to love and not to judge anyone that all humans have a right to live… I was not taught to hate but I was taught to educate myself and to understand what could happen in our messed up society. Prior to college I went to Israel and lived on a Kibbutz and I experienced the way Israelis had to live, young children were preparing to go into the army only to see the parents one day per week. They also taught us to be prepared. This was their way of life and I learned to honor my faith, and sadly heard the tragic life that my wonderful Grand-parents endured. Why doesn’t this world wake up and how much more do they have to do to us?????????????

  12. MG says:

Georgia, did you or your anti-Israel compatriots read what Simon Deng said at Durban?

  13. M G says:

Please google Simon Deng and read his remarks at the Durban Conference. Open your eyes, people. Israel is not the villain here.

  14. Nestor Makhno says:

Can you explain to me why infrastructure, roads, telecommunications, water, sewer, electricity in Palestinian villages and cities are in an absolute backwarded condition compared with those in jewish villages and cities although the Palestinian Israëlis pay the same amount on taxes as jews?
Can you explain to me why Israelis living in the illegal settlements on the westbank get 200 ltr of water per capita/ day and the Palestinians get only 40 ltr of water per capita/day .
Can you explain to me the difference in price for this water although the watercompany Mekoroth sells to israeli settlers and Palestinians and for which the settlers pay only 10% of the price the Palestiians have to pay?
Can you explain to me why all israeli illegal settlements on the westbank are connected to the watersystem, and the electrical powerlines . Even very remote and not recognized settlements by the israeli governments and at the same time a Palestinian has to walk 6 Mls for getting water out of a well and has to generate his own electricity?
Can you explain to me why it is forbidden for Palestians to drill a well while at the same time his israeli neighbour has a drilled a well which is 1 Ml deep and which sucks every drop of water of the well owned by the Palestinian?

  15. herman says:

It’s not antisemitisme, but a statemant against the politics of Israel.

  16. MG says:

And your comment makes you an idiot. What’s your point?

  17. Michael Tattva says:

All people, including famous peole, have the right to critize a country for their murderous deeds. That does not make one guilty of anti-Semitism. Only demagogues make statements like that. Who does Jon Voigt think he is: God? Honesty is the best policy.

    • Michael Tattva says:

I’m sure that there will be work for Cruz in Hollywood for years to come. But who is this “we” you are referring to and what is their relation to having work in the entertainment business?

    • tpvero says:

They didn’t capitulate did they? I did not read this. It would be very sad news if they did. Especially when their courage was so astounding.

    • tpvero says:

Only a child would call another person stupid. Are we trying to come to a conclusion, or is this a name calling contest.

    • Diane DeMarco says:

No. Michael, Mr. Voight is not God, just a moral person who doesn’t just go with the flow and is honest and clear thinking, unlike you.

      • Michael Tattva says:

Diane, if going with the flow means being a realist i am happy with your compliment.

      • harold howe says:

Voight doesn’t know the difference between a Jew and a right wing Israeli bully like Netanyahu. Both are embarrassments who hurt the chances for a just peace in Israel and Palestine and make antisemitism worse.

    • MG says:

Colonizers? They were teenage students.Just who do you think murdered them?

  18. I am proud of and thankful to Jon Voight for telling the truth about Israel and encouraging his peers to do the same. it is a shame that celebs follow trends that are based on hatred instead of educating themselves about the facts.

  19. Wayne Landman says:

Here is a side of Israeli not heard by the general public because it is not news-worthy enough to be printed.

During the time the three Israeli’s kids were kidnapped then murdered, Palestinian President Abbas’ wife was being treated in a Israeli hospital.

Recently the granddaughter of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh was treated in Israeli.

The Israeli supreme court has an Arab Israeli as a sitting judge. This year the valedictorian of an Israeli university was an Arab Israeli.

Anyone can be elected to the Knesset or Parliament as we know it.

Israeli is a real democracy, thriving, in a sea of hate and poverty for the vast majority of people.

To be fair Israeli has made and will make mistakes. It does not claim theirs is a perfect world. Look around! Do you see any country in the middle east that comes close?

    Question

  20. Marguerite Baroukh says:

Thank you Jon Voigt for your comments. I too am old enough to remember the wars against Israel, a state that was formed because of the suffering the Jews of this world had to bear throughout the years. I have been a proud Australian since 1957. Before that I was French, born in Egypt and given 24 hours to leave Egypt without money or belongings in January 1957. Like many others from Egypt we were accepted in Australia under the scheme “Refugees from Egypt”. However no country as yet has officially recognised as such except Australia.

    • Nestor Makhno says:

I presume that you had to leave Egypt because of Operation Susannah with the Lavon affaire. But if you don’t give the historical context people will feel sorry for you.
      I don’t , because i know the historical context .

  21. Mark says:

What a bunch of hogwash. The situation is more complex than this simpleton presentation. Not standing with Israel in this specific complex doesn’t make you anti-semitic Jon needs to do more research.

  22. Manuel Rodriguez says:

Maravillos, escrito de Jon Voight……. viva Israel y todo lo que representa….

  23. Joan Lozowick says:

Bravo Jon Voight! Israel needs friends like you – wonderful letter.

  24. American in Germany says:

Voight has limited knowledge of the UN “offer” as he calls it. The internet, the opening of the Israel archives, international TV news stations, and the revisionist Israeli historians have steadily changed world opinion since 1967. Today, the US would not be able to muster an approval of a UN mandate.
Israel with its overpopulation, limited resources, surrounded by enemies, dependent on US vetoes, and supply lines thousand of kilometers long is in a critical position.
Cruz and others need not use the word genocide. They should stick to the more restricted Apartheid, and ethnic cleansing terms which are undisputed.

    • hank you Jon Vought we need people as yourself to know the truth.

    • Nestor Makhno says:

      Right you are !

    • Harold Howe says:

You may be right about the use of the words “Apartheid” instead of “Genocide”, but what is most ignorant and outrageous about Voight is his playing the “antisemitism” card against Cruz and Bardem for having the temerity to criticize Israel.

Voight is adding to the problem he claims to be concerned about when he does that.

  25. s lindenauer says:

bravo to you, Jon Voight!!! once again, you have stood tall!

    • Harold Howe says:

He is confusing criticism of Israel with antisemitism.

    • Diane DeMarco says:

Agree! Jon Voight is a prince among celebrities! He is smart and knowledgeable about the middle east unlike some of the morons who believe the biased mainstream media.

    • MG says:

I admire Jon Voight as an actor (pure evil in Ray Donovan) and have so much respect for him as a human being.

      • Pat Croton says:

why respect and admiration? simply paying back his professional and financial masters. maybe such will also help and balance off his daughter’s views to appease these Hollywood hucksters.

  26. Marilynn says:

The Palestinians are not occupied by Israel & if they would stop sending missiles into Israel as well as performing kidnap/murders on innocent people; all would be well with both nations.

  27. Angela says:

Thank you for taking a stand against the naive and gullible

  28. Anthony Malapanis says:

    Thank you Jon!

  29. Anthony Malapanis says:

    Keep fighting Jon!!!!

  30. Ash Donner says:

Mr Voight you are a true friend of Israel. Thanks you!

  31. Jayne Williams says:

We have a hero in Mr. Voight .
Shame on the actors who should fly into the Gaza Strip and then recant your letter.. that is if you would live through
the trauma as the Israel people have had to endure. Stick to your so called acting
    careers.

  32. Harvela says:

    Gerry McGrath
Quit spouting the same old worn out Terrorist agit prop . There is no occupation of Gaza . Israel mistakenly withdrew in 2005 leaving behind a thriving agricultural industry . Hamas turned it into a weapons production and launching zone . Sure there is a blockade but only of materials likely to form part of Hamas military apparatus .
Hamas are responsible for each and every death on both sides . No rockets = no retaliation . Lucky Israel is not Russia who levelled Grozny when dealing with their own Islamist insurgents

  33. Pam Bournique says:

Mr Voigt is absolutely correct. Hamas is placing women and children in these places and using them as human shields and the worst part is that it is working!!! AND they are getting sympathy for their evil deeds! Wake up people they are terrorists !!!!!!! Israel is NOT, they are a nation fighting for their lives and very existence– YET AGAIN!!!!!!! What would you do/think if that was us getting bombed on a daily basis every few years?!?!?!?

  34. eli says:

no they are not. but if there is seven meeting about israel in the U.N this year alone and only one against syria then something dont smell right in here

  35. eli says:

realy? no shit, you are so smart. but not for jihadists… thr palstines are the only people who send teens to do suicide bombing and the only people who threatend to give each of theire children agrande and send them to israel. all hamas under bonker and the civillians are in the streets. we defende our children whille they asking for more children to be killed so morons like you will have anegetive opinion about israel. hamas dond belive in human and women rights, no religion freedom and so. and yet you say that israel kills children. hamas is killing children because is fighting from populated areas

  36. A worried cititzen of the world says:

To the people who are saying that Israel are justified in their actions, did you know that there was a campaign of terror against the British during the mandate of Palenstine? Should the British have retailated in the same way? Destroying the whole place to bring a few Jews to justice and at the sametime killing lots of innocent Jews? No.

I have sympathy with Israel. Of course they need to respond when their innocent civilians are killed but they also need to make sure that their actions are proportionate and responsible. Yes Hamas fires rockets into Israel and I agree that this needs to be stopped. It is not doing the people of Palestine any good. But how many actually get into Israel and cause damage? As far as I’m aware Israel has a system in place that blows most of the rockets up before it has a chance to cause any damage. I’m not saying that this therefore means the people of Palestine should get a free pass as it doesn’t matter BUT I do think that the actions Israel take should reflect that. They should try to bring the people responsilbe to justice but innocent people should not be slaughtered like this.

The majority of Palestine are just innocent people trying to live their lifes. They can’t flee to safety to avoid the attacks from Israel, they have nowhere to go. That’s why it is Israel’s responsibility to try to prevent the killing of innocent people. It’s getting to the point where they are commiting war crimes.

Like I said, Israel has the right to defend itself and it should do. But they’ve also gone too far and crossed the line. I’m allowed to have an opinion. The people Voight critices are allowed an opinion too. It doesn’t make us anti-semetic.

    • eli says:

remind again what did britine has to do with israel? why did you controled this area? is it historically yours? britine didnt allow jew to come to israel while they were butchered by the nazis, you dont have any sympathy for israel, you are alair. hamas is aislamic regim who dont accept nothing but islam and yet you dont wont them to cease to be. why? they dont belive in women rights or religion rights and if were under hamas rolling you didnt even had the chance to wrote thos lines… we say you are an antisemiet because you dont take in to acount everything i just wrote above. what about syria? 200000 dead civilian? what about ukrine? tibet? those are much worst then what happaned in israel when we talk on human or children lifes? look deep in yuor self and you will find that the israeli conflict are the most importent to you. you know why?

  37. Georgia says:

In a Democracy all people, as well Celebs, have the right to tell their opinions, Mr Voight.
As you do too, here with your letter. You do exacly the same thing aw Javier Bardem and Penelope. You just have an oposite opinion -but the language you use to accuse them dosen’t seems very democratic.

    • Harold Howe says:

His language is hateful and boorish and ignorant. He doesn’t seem to understand that many Jews criticize Israel and object to what they’re doing in killing innocent people in Gaza in the same way that Bardem and Cruz have.

      That doesn’t make them antisemitic.

Voight’s rant only increases antisemitism because it attempts to shield Israel from criticism by dishonestly waiving the antsemiitism flag.

    • eli says:

democracy like hamas? do you know what is your fate as awomen under your persuise hamas? israel is the only democracy there

  38. MikeNZ says:

    I concur with Mr Voight.
The truth of the matter is m/s Cruz and her ilk want Israel to not exist as they have either have fallen for the canard that Israel is the reason for the Middle East Violence or they are Dhimmis protecting Islam.
Either ways they should be held accountable at the box office and the companies that they advertise for.
    MikeNZ

  39. Laurie Bradley says:

Thank you, Mr Voight for your heartfelt support of Israel. I was truly moved after reading your open letter. I proudly support you and Israel. In 1977 I had the opportunity to visit and pay my respects at Dachau, one of several german death camps for exterminating the Jews during World War II. An experience I shall never forget. With all the criticism you have received, I am grateful that I am on the right side, for this is a ‘just cause’ for Israel. Thank you for your courage. And for any who think I only support Israel because I may be Jewish, well I am not, I am LDS (Mormon).

  40. Mr Voight,

“the only democratic country of goodwill in the Middle East” has now willingly and knowingly precision-bombed three UN buildings filled with people who went there to be safe. These people can not leave Gaza, there are no tent camps to which they can flee. They are trapped and are being butchered.

“The only democratic country of goodwill in the Middle East” has also sustained an occupation of Gaza and the West Bank for nearly 40 years during which Palestinians were treated like second class people in their own country. The only things that can be fueled by humiliations, isolation and harassment are frustration, anger and violence. This conflict has been mismanaged by everyone from the get go, and thankfully all of a sudden the entire world (apart from Israel and Hamas) seems to realize that.
It’s not the fact that Israel fights Hamas that’s being criticized, it’s the fact that innocent civilians are being targeted. Everyone understands that Israel want’s its borders safe. But the ease with which the Israeli army ends innocent lives on the other side of that border to achieve that safety is horrifying.
The international community has to step in and make both parties accept fair terms for long term stability and peace.

And it’s not because bad people could use these complaints to spread even more hatred and violence that they can’t be spoken. There is quite a difference between racism and legitimate concern for a human tragedy. Bad people will use whatever they can to get their way. That shouldn’t stop us from doing the right thing right now…

    • MG says:

Oliver: Have you no feeling about the daily terror caused by Hamas’ bombing of civilians in Israel? Israel’s need to defend itself would end if Hamas ended the bombings. Hamas has sworn to continue until every Jew is gone from the Middle East. Why is this ok with you?

    • Ellese says:

      This epitomizes the issue.

      • Diane DeMarco says:

Oliver, you are being misled by the mainstream media. Israel GOES OUT OF ITS WAY to avoid targeting civilians but what choice do they have when it is HAMAS who stores their rockets and ammunition in schools and hospitals and send 13 and 14 year old innocent boys into Israel with ammunition strapped to their bodies? It is kill or be killed. Can’t you understand that. How would YOU like to live in a place where rocket bombs are coming at you 24/7? Would you cower and hide or fight for your life? Wake up!

      • eli says:

they can leave to egypt, oh yea, egypt dont allow them and yet you condem israel alone. what about egypt? arent they arabs? why dont they help there arab brothers? but dont let the facts confuse you,,, antisemite. they are israel enemies and yet you stupitelly suggest that israel will let those brain washed jew killers to enetr there territory. man you are stupid,,,

      • eli says:

why dont you cheke who are your unra activists? they are all hamas man… why dont you check about the 1200000 palestine kids who sign them selfs to hamas summer terorists camps. little kids who are tought to kill and all you care about is bombing aunra building full of amunition. you are stupid man. anti simite. why dont you condame hamas too? chikdren terorists summer camp, yea yea, where is your condenment?

    • Reese says:

Oliver, that may well be the smartest, most intelligent, well thought out thing I’ve read here all day. And I thank you.

      • jay says:

Eli, you are the dummest, narrowminded person in this conversation, with no eye for anything but your own right. Step out and try to see the bigger picture in an historical perspective. And don’t come to me with that bullshit of ‘historic rights’.

  41. Kim says:

Thank you Mr.Voight for being a clear, concise voice of knowledge and truth. So far the only other celebrity I’ve heard speak the truth on this is Joan Rivers. So many Celebrities open their mouths and have no idea what they are supporting. They would do well to get informed before they make a statement they later have to apologize for.

    • Diane DeMarco says:

Kim, thank you for your comment. Most of the comments are,, no surprise, anti-Israel. And you are right, they have NO IDEA what is going on in the middle east. They are just jumping on the anti Israel bandwagon.

  42. Sophie says:

How can you say that someone who criticize Israel can be said antisemitism.
Kids are dying and the world is going crazy.
    It’s really a shame.

  43. Mommysaidicanttell says:

I just wonder why everyone who criticize jews are antisemitists? Seriously wtf? This might shock people but..sometimes even jews can be wrong and do bad things…but if one dares to say that out loud..antisemitist..must …be…killed…I also think that celebs have a right to tell their opinions as well.

    • Joe says:

That is correct. Celebrities have the right to their opinion, including Jon Voight. One of Mr Voight’s points was that if the admittedly less informed celebrities had made anti Hamas statements and lived in an Arabic Middle East country they would be targets for murder under the cover of “jihad”. Ronald Reagan once said,”evil is powerless if the good are unafraid.” Thank God Israel is not afraid.

  44. Wayne says:

I have never in my life felt a need to comment on a news story but as I see the people if gaza getting killed in this harific conflict I feel the need , as a Jew the comments from Hollywood about Israel are as equally harific and as an American the way are president has qualified Hamas is the bigest insult yet noting and I mean nothing justifys the deth I don’t think deth is right at all but enuff is enuff the way the world is so fast to take the Jews and bash them for defending them selfs but this is nothing new I am proud to be a Jew I am proud to be an American for g sake open your eyes yes I think the people of gaza should be free and the only country in the world that seems to care about the people in gaza are the isralys if the world that has a problem with the way then I wold suggest going to gaza and ask the Hamas fighters to stop going in the direction of Israel and try to make trade with the outhers in the region the only thing that Jews would like is peace from Moses to the Spanish to the Germans ether we like to fight or we after 5000 years finally have stud up for are self Get used to it w and btw thx to Jon v

  45. Georgia says:

When Jewish were arrested and taken to concentration camps Germans were clapping their hands and screaming with glee, when mothers held up their babes to see the fun.
At that time the power was in German hands.

The 4th generation of those Jews are watching and celebrate Gaza being bombed.
In our times the power is in Jews hands.

  46. Georgia says:

Do people in USA watch other networks or just American TV! There is a genocide happening !! Israel is killing kids by hundreds.

Well, well, well… The ignorance level is constantly rising in this tread. Especially with the boycotters of Bardem & Cruz. They really don’t make any effort to take a good look at which movies they starred in, and whom their producers and directors are. Is it surprising? Well, as we all see their lack of knowledge on Middle East politics and history, it surely isn’t.

  49. Gilbert Rodriguez says:

Thank you Mr Voight for your courageous letter!!!

Before Israel attacks, they send warnings by dropping fliers, make phone calls & do everything in their power to make sure innocents are not in the line of fire. Hamas uses this to their advantage. They also use their citizens as human shields. Is this a humane gesture? Can you tell me anything good about these people? When is it not a right to defend your country when under attack? When you’re Israel is the answer. Part of the United States belonged to Mexico, and the rest to Native Americans. Shouldn’t we all move? How many innocents were slaughtered during this acquisition? Don’t you think we should move? Read about what America did to the Hawaiians. You just hate Israel because you despise Jews.
