Entertainment One has hired Gerard Bocaccio as senior vice president, U.S. scripted development.
Bocaccio will report to Michael Rosenberg, exec VP, U.S. scripted television.
Based in Los Angeles, Bocaccio will further cultivate and develop eOne’s slate of quality scripted programming for the U.S. marketplace, building upon the company’s rapidly expanding U.S. television business, and pursuing new avenues and creative partners in order to bring superior content to audiences nationwide.
He most recently consulted for Blumhouse Productions and the Discovery Channel to help launch and elevate their scripted television presence. Bocaccio also played a role in launching Discovery’s first scripted series, “Klondike,” which eOne Television co-produced.
Before that, he was the president of Television at Silver Pictures, senior VP of entertainment at FX and exec VP of production at the Bubble Factory.
“Gerard is a seasoned executive with a breadth of experience that spans all aspects of the development and production process necessary to create groundbreaking television,” said Rosenberg. “We are fortunate to be able to harness his impressive background and progressive approach making him the perfect fit for eOne.”
