El Rey Network has announced that Skip Chaisson has been appointed senior vice president, creative and on-air promotion.

Chaisson will work closely with Scott Sassa, vice chair and Robert Rodriguez, founder and chairman of the 24-hour English language channel, to elevate its profile while continuing to oversee his production company Skip Film.

“I have worked with Skip for years and can’t imagine a more skilled creative in this crucial network role,” said Rodriguez. “His vision and uncompromising commitment to excellence has been an inspiration to me and I know that the future of El Rey Network is very bright with Skip at the helm of viewers’ on-air experience.”

As the founder and principal of Skip Film, Chaisson has worked on over 400 movie and television campaigns, as well as commercials, and has been named by Vogue Italia as “the undisputed king of trailer making.” Chaisson has worked on projects including “The Good Wife,” “Gravity,” “Arrow,” and many more.
