CORE Media Group has entered into a joint venture with U.K.-based format creation house Big Minded.
CORE will work with Big Minded to internationalize its unique business model, via format sales to broadcasters in the U.S. and Europe, while simultaneously investing in its U.K. development operation.
“This joint venture ensures a shot of adrenalin in our focus to become a market leader in the creation and sale of innovative global IP,” said Big Minded’s Chris Graves. “CORE’s international clout, resources and collective industry pedigree will supersize our business model, while allowing us to retain our independence in the U.K. television market.”
Currently, CORE has programming deals set up at more than 30 television networks, including a remake of “Highway to Heaven” with Mark Wahlberg for A&E through CORE’s joint venture with Halfire Entertainment.
