Univison’s Boris Gartner has joined Fusion as senior vice president and chief strategy officer. Gartner will work on company-wide strategy, partnerships and business development efforts with a focus on widening the reach and impact of Fusion’s content in the digital arena.
“Boris is a high-impact player who has a proven track record of developing and executing forward-looking initiatives,” said Isaac Lee, Fusion CEO. “Boris was a part of the Univision team that conceived Fusion in 2012 and he will play a critical role as we continue building Fusion into a next-generation media company.”
Gartner has also worked to develop deals for cross-platform projects with The California Endowment, with strategic partnerships including Participant Media, Red Bull Media House and Penske Media Corporation. Most recently, he oversaw the launch of La Fábrica UCI, Univision’s inhouse digital studio, which launched Variety Latino as the premier entertainment news brand for Hispanics.
Gartner was also named one of Hollywood’s New Leaders by Variety in 2013.
