BBC Worldwide signs deal with developers of London Paramount Entertainment Resort
The theme park is part of a £2 billion ($3.14 billion) resort to be built in Kent, South-East England, to be known as the London Paramount Entertainment Resort. It is being developed by London Resort Company Holdings, according to a report in the Guardian. LRCH is funded by the Kuwaiti European Holding Co., which is owned by the Al-Humaidi family.
LRCH has signed a development agreement with BBC Worldwide, the commercial arm of the public broadcaster, to allow its programs and characters to be turned into rides, interactive simulators and experiences.
The resort, which aims to “combine the glamour of Hollywood with the best of British culture,” is set to open in 2020.
