‘America’s Got Talent’ Down But NBC Wins Tuesday

Fox's 'So You Think You Can Dance' and ABC's 'Extreme Weight Loss' on the rise

“America’s Got Talent” was on the decline Tuesday but still easily ruled as the night’s top show as NBC prevailed in key demos while reality series on ABC and Fox were up from last week.

According to preliminary national estimates from Nielsen, “America’s Got Talent” averaged a 2.6 rating/8 share in adults 18-49 and 10 million viewers overall from 9 to 11 p.m., down from its hourlong averages of last week (3.0/9 in 18-49, 11.8 million) when the show benefited from airing before the season finale of “The Voice.” NBC opened the night with a repeat of “Betty White’s Off Their Rockers” (1.1/4 in 18-49, 4.0 million viewers overall), followed by an original episode (1.1/4 in 18-49, 4.2 million viewers overall).

Elsewhere, Fox’s “So You Think You Can Dance” (1.6/5 in 18-49, 4.4 million viewers overall) was up 14% (0.2) from last week’s low while ABC’s “Extreme Weight Loss” (1.2/4 in 18-49, 3.9 million viewers overall) was also up a couple of tenths.

Univision ranked third on the night, led by “Amores Verdaderos” (1.7/5 in 18-49, 4.2 million viewers overall).

CBS aired encores of crime dramas “NCIS” (1.0/4 in 18-49, 8.0 million viewers overall), “NCIS: Los Angeles” (0.8/2 in 18-49, 6.0 million viewers overall) and “Person of Interest” (0.8/2 in 18-49, 5.1 million viewers overall).

Preliminary 18-49 averages for the night: NBC, 2.1/6; Fox, 1.6/5; Univision, 1.5/5; ABC, 1.0/3; CBS, 0.9/3; Telemundo, 0.8/3; CW, 0.2/1.

In total viewers: NBC, 8.0 million; CBS, 6.4 million; Fox, 4.4 million; Univision, 3.8 million; ABC, 3.5 million; Telemundo, 1.8 million; CW, 0.7 million.
