Move spurs questions about whether thesp will return to 'Up All Night'

Will Arnett joining the cast of a CBS pilot may be the final nail in the coffin for Peacock comedy “Up All Night.”

Thesp has been tapped to topline the untitled Greg Garcia comedy, spurring questions about whether he will return to “Up All Night,” which already lost series star Christina Applegate less than two weeks ago.

When asked about the status of “Up All Night” and its potential cancellation, NBC did not comment.

Tumultuous history of “Up All Night,” aside from Applegate ankling the skein, includes the departure of series creator Emily Spivey, a plan to switch the format from single to multi cam, and NBC reducing the episode order for the fresh take down to just one episode.
