TLC’s ‘Here Comes Honey Boo Boo’ Hits Series High in Finale

Here Comes Honey Boo Boo

It draws 3.2 million, leads cable in key demos

The Boo Boo clan closed out their second season Wednesday night on TLC in front of their largest audience yet.

Nielsen estimates that the hourlong season finale of “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo,” featuring a commitment ceremony between matriarch June and her longtime partner Sugar Bear, averaged 3.21 million viewers — beating the previous high set with the “A Very Boo Halloween” special in January (3.08 million).

The “Happily Ever After?” episode was also up a big 64% from last week’s “Stress Poops” episode (1.96 million) and becomes TLC’s most-watched program since last November’s “Breaking Amish: The Shunning Truth Part 1.”

TLC has yet to announce a third season of “Honey Boo Boo,” though the strong ratings for its season finale would suggest that the show will be back in some form.

Boo-Boo is the most hideous show on the planet. I can not fathom why this show has high ratings other than it’s for same people who enjoy slowing down in traffic to get a close view of the mangled bodies at a car accident scene. Same audience who enjoys watching World Wrestling and doesn’t believe it’s completely staged! Why have I wasted my time writing a comment. I’m planning on canceling my cable due to all the CRUD that is non-education on television these days. I’m not so proud to be American. This show is the designed for the cheetos-munching couch-potato watching (I have no ambitions in my life) Americans who are happily hypnotized (tv zombies) by watching a grotesquely obese family exploiting (and embarrassing) their children on National television. If you continue to watch it, they’ll continue to serve it to you, AND THEN SOME MORE OF THE SAME!!. {delete, cancel, unlike, bleech! good-riddence} And that’s the opinion of a college educated individual who covets her time by reading, and educating myself daily. Get a life people!

Hmm. Honey Boo highest ratings but The Killing is cancelled. Sad commentary on, well, everything.
