Order for “Reign” is notable, since it arrives a week in advance of its series premiere. Script additions for “Originals” arrive two episodes into the spinoff’s stay on the CW’s primetime lineup, while the three-script order for “Tomorrow People” comes after the program’s series debut this week.
The trio of dramas received initial 13-episode orders from the network, and are expected to have completed the writing for the 13 segs this month. Tacking on three scripts continues the momentum of each rookie series as it rolls out on the network.
“The Originals” bowed Oct. 3 to over 2 million viewers with parent series “The Vampire Diaries” serving as a lead-in, and held most of its premiere audience during its second seg in its regular Tuesday timeslot this week. “Tomorrow People” debuted yesterday, drawing 2.3 million viewers and maintaining the majority of lead-in “Arrow’s” aud in adults 18-49.
