Kurtzman, Orci attached to the project

Things may get even spookier over at the CW, as the network eyes a reboot of 1980s horror anthology series “Tales From The Darkside.”

Project from CBS TV Studio currently has a script deal at the net, with Joe Hill — Stephen King’s son — attached as scribe. “Sleepy Hollow’s” Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci will exec produce alongside Mitch Galin, Heather Kadin and Jerry Golod.

The CW is considering the “Darkside” reinvention for a summer 2014 run as a halfhour series.

“Tales From The Darkside” was created by George A. Romero. The pilot for the skein aired in 1983, with the syndie series running from ’84-’88.
