TBS brings Pete Holmes to latenight

Half-hour comedy series to follow 'Conan' in fall

TBS has ordered a latenight comedy series starring Pete Holmes from Conan O’Brien’s Conaco shingle.

Untitled skein will be taped before a live audience and feature sketch comedy, short films, field pieces and in-studio guests. Half-hour program will air Monday-Thursday beginning this fall and follow “Conan.”

“Pete Holmes is an enormously likable performer with an agile and innovative mind,” said O’Brien. “I’m really looking forward to his show, and I’ve already had my son program my DVR.”

O’Brien is exec producing the show alongside Jeff Ross, David Kissinger, Nick Bernstein and Dave Rath.

Michael Wright, topper of programming for TBS, TNT and Turner Classic Movies, added: “Pete is a phenomenal talent with a truly unique point of view. He has just the right comic sensibility and style we’re looking for to follow ‘Conan’ in our latenight lineup.”
