USA Network’s “Suits” returned strong for its second season midseason bow Thursday, drawing 3.6 million viewers in its 10 p.m. timeslot.
Dramedy series, starring Gabriel Macht and Patrick J. Adams, bested its June season two debut with 1.6 million in the 18-49 demo and 835,000 in 18-34. Both demos were also an improvement from the season premiere. Telecast, however, did fall substantially shy of the summer finale. The Aug. 23 airing landed 4.5 million total viewers. Elsewhere on cable, TBS’ launch of reality series “King of the Nerds,” with Robert Carradine and Curtis Armstrong, drew 2 million viewers, with 1.2 million in the 18-49 demo. Show also aired at 10 p.m., meaning “Nerds” and “Suits” were up against Oprah Winfrey’s anticipated Lance Armstrong interview on OWN.‘Suits’ hits 3.6 million for midseason bow
