Channel 4 Orders 40 Episodes of

Gameshow based on Zynga app was originally developed for TV at CBS

A gameshow based on the app Draw Something, originally developed for CBS, has migrated across the Pond to Channel 4.

Channel 4 has invested significantly in the gameshow, ordering 40 episodes of “Draw It!”

“Draw It!” is inspired by the popular Zynga app Draw Something and produced by Ryan Seacrest Prods. and Sony Pictures TV-backed Embassy Row. Show landed a pilot at the Eye last year, and features  teams of celebs and everyday users testing their drawing skills in front of a studio aud to earn money and big laughs. Viewers can also play at home for the chance to win prizes and compete with the celebrities.

CBS passed on the pilot, leaving the gameshow in development limbo at the net.

Sony TV, which distributes the project internationally, has struck a deal with Channel 4 for “Draw It!,” slating U.K. shingle Victory to produce the series.
