Net takes Tuesday in demos; CBS' 'NCIS' tops in viewers

In a good sign for NBC, repeats of “Betty White’s Off Their Rockers” performed well on Tuesday, teaming with an original “Parenthood” to lift the net to victory in key demos over its broadcast rivals.

“Off Their Rockers,” which will be airing back-to-back original episodes on Tuesdays beginning next week, gained in 18-49 rating with each of its four repeats Tuesday. According to Nielsen, the first seg at 8 p.m. averaged a 1.3 rating/3 share in adults 18-49 and 4.9 million viewers overall, followed by episodes at 8:30 (1.5/4 in 18-49, 5.1 million viewers overall), 9 (1.6/4 in 18-49, 5.7 million viewers overall) and 9:30 (1.8/4 in 18-49, 5.7 million viewers overall). Among entertainment series from 8 to 10 p.m., the hidden-camera pranks series tied for the lead or won outright in 18-49 in all four half-hours.

And at 10, “Parenthood” (1.7/4 in 18-49, 5.2 million viewers overall) dominated in demos over repeats on ABC and CBS.

Elsewhere, Univision moved up to second place in demos among the broadcasters, led by “Amores Verdaderos” (1.6/4 in 18-49, 3.9 million viewers overall).

CBS ran second among the Big Four in demos and first in total viewers with encores of Tuesday regulars “NCIS” (1.3/3 in 18-49, 10.6 million viewers overall), “NCIS: Los Angeles” (1.4/3 in 18-49, 9.3 million viewers overall) and “Vegas” (0.9/2 in 18-49, 6.0 million viewers overall). The “NCIS” shows were easily the night’s leaders in total viewers.

ABC did pretty well with a special repeat of “Shark Tank” at 8 (1.5/4 in 18-49, 5.2 million viewers overall) but then faded with repeats of comedies “Happy Endings” (0.6/2 in 18-49, 2.3 million viewers overall) and “Don’t Trust the B in Apt. 23″ (0.5/1 in 18-49, 1.6 million viewers overall) and a special repeat of Wednesday drama “Nashville” (0.5/1 in 18-49, 1.9 million viewers overall).

Fox aired back-to-back repeats of “Ben & Kate” at 8 (0.7/2 in 18-49, 1.8 million viewers overall) and 8:30 (0.5/1 in 18-49, 1.4 million viewers overall) and “New Girl” at 9 (0.7/2 in 18-49, 1.6 million viewers overall) and 9:30 (0.7/2 in 18-49, 1.7 million viewers overall).

And CW went with encores of Tuesday dramas “Hart of Dixie” (0.3/1 in 18-49, 1.1 million viewers overall) and “Emily Owens, M.D.” (0.4/1 in 18-49, 1.3 million viewers overall).

Preliminary 18-49 averages for the night: NBC, 1.6/4; Univision, 1.5/4; CBS, 1.2/3; ABC, 0.9/2; Fox, 0.7/2; CW, 0.3/1.

In total viewers: CBS, 8.6 million; NBC, 5.3 million; Univision, 3.5 million; ABC, 3.0 million; Fox, 1.6 million; CW, 1.2 million.
