LONDONKeshet Intl., the distribution arm of Israel’s Keshet Media Group and a growing force in the formats biz, has sold dating drama “Girlfri3nds” to ProSiebenSat.1 Media. The German web will produce and broadcast the show for undisclosed channels in Germany, Austria, Alto Adige, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Luxembourg to air this year. It’s being co-produced by Redseven Entertainment and Keshet Broadcasting. This deal follows the U.K. adaptation of “Girlfri3nds,” which bowed in September on digital web ITV2. The original Israeli version bowed on Keshet Channel 2 in October 2011 and achieved an average 40.2 share, 15% above the time slot average, according to Keshet. “Girlfri3nds” follows three single women looking for soul mates. Keshet Intl.’s catalog consists of more than 60 properties, of which the best known is “Prisoners of War,” rebooted in the U.S. as “Homeland” by Fox.
