Contrary to so many other realty shows, the emphasis of Lifetime’s fashion-focused (and, once upon a time, Bravo’s) “Project Runway” has always been on wearing clothes — not shedding them.
But like any long romance, the producers of Lifetime are seemingly looking to liven things up for their latest season, which premieres July 18. The new poster concentrates more on sweaty nude models instead of the artists who dress them.
Is this simply a way to drum up attention, as the formerly fan-favorited designer death match has fallen in ratings over the years? Or is it Lifetime’s subtle way of telling us that the latest crop of wannabes and challenges aren’t that interesting? At long last, does host Heidi Klum finally have enough clothes?
