Series to focus on gay fatherhood in New York City

Perez Hilton, the gossip guru who established his brand on the computer screen with a celeb blog, has his eyes on the TV screen for his next venture.

Hilton has partnered with Bunim-Murray Prods. and OMG Prods. to develop reality series “Gay Dads of New York.” Docuseries will follow a group of Gotham gay dads — both single and married — as they support each other through the ups and downs of raising children.

Hilton, who recently became a father, is slated to star in the project, which does not yet have a network attached to it.

“I am honored and excited to bring to television a show that will be filled with love, humor and drama. What will it not be? Trashy or boring!” said Hilton. “Up until now people know me more for my opinions than who I am. This show will give viewers the opportunity to get to know the ‘real’ Perez Hilton and my family, as well as some other really dynamic gay dads, and the women that make up their support system. I am a recent transplant to New York City, looking for friends and open to – hopefully – love. To new beginnings and this exciting new venture!”

Bunim-Murray chairman Jon Murray added, “I immediately responded to the ‘Gay Dads of New York’ concept because my partner and I were part of one of the first gay dads support groups in Los Angeles back in 1998. Whether it’s a single dad like Perez, or married gay dads, becoming a gay parent affects your relationships with family and friends, all of which will make fascinating stories.”

Casting for the series is currently underway in New York City.

Exec producers for “Gay Dads of New York” include Suzy Unger, Steve Grossman, Mario Lavandeira (Hilton), Jon Murray, Gil Goldschein and Scott Freeman.

This horrible excuse for a man and a gay man destroyed lives and exploited people living private lives so he could make a dollar. He openly bullied celebrities and little children. I dont care that he says he’s changed, he is a bully that caters to the lowest common denominator. Just a despicable human being that doesnt deserve to be highlighted as a role model. I will boycott all advertisers and the channel that chooses to run this monsters show. Now, if you get a different leading man, ill watch.

Zzzzz zzzzz zzzzz boring. This guy made a life exploiting celebrities and now wants to show the real him. Pathetic society when a person with no real skills can make or break you as too many people follow his gossip and can’t think for himself.
