Paget Brewster eyes ‘Spy’

Thesp set to join ABC comedy

Paget Brewster is set to join the cast of ABC’s “Spy.”

Single-cam comedy, based on a British series of the same name, centers on a Tim (Rob Corddry), a father with a highly intelligent son, Marcus (Mason Cook). Tim inadvertently takes a job at the Secret Service in order to prove himself a worthy father.

Brewster will play Erica Elliot, Tim’s ex-wife and Marcus’s mom. Erica, a pill addict, has zero custody of her son and has long been seeing therapists. She openly loathes Tim, and snipes at him for his lack of achievement, accomplishment or ambition.

Brewster’s TV credits include “Criminal Minds” and “Law and Order: Special Victims Unit.” She can next be seen on “Modern Family.”

Brewster is repped by UTA, manager Joannie Burstein and attorney Joel McKuin.
