'Killer Couples' to debut on March 10
As Oxygen’s true crime show “Snapped” prepares to ring in its 200th episode, cabler has announced spinoff series “Snapped: Killer Couples.”
“Killer Couples” will offer recreations and firsthand accounts of couples whose passion drove them to commit criminal acts. Program will join Oxygen’s Sunday night lineup devoted to true crime, and debut on March 10 at 10 p.m., immediately following the 200th episode of “Snapped.”
“Whether it’s TV, film or books, women are obsessed with the twists and turns of true-crimes stories. ‘Snapped’ has fulfilled the desires of its female audience to understand the motives that lead everyday moms, wives and girlfriends to commit shocking crimes,” said Rod Aissa, senior veep of original programming and development for Oxygen Media. “‘Snapped: Killer Couples’ is the perfect companion series to our true crime Sunday night lineup as we continue to deliver compelling storylines that resonate with our viewers and leave them wanting more.”
Both “Snapped” and “Snapped: Killer Couples” are produced by Jupiter Entertainment. Stephen Land serves as exec producer, and Deborah Dawkins as co-exec producer.
