President Obama will appear on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” on Tuesday, his first appearance on the show since his reelection.

Obama will make the appearance during trip west, including a speech on housing in Phoenix and a visit to troops at Camp Pendleton, Calif., the White House said.

In March, 2009, Obama became the first sitting president to make an in-studio appearance on a late-night talk show, when he was a guest on Leno’s show. He followed that with appearances on “Late Show with David Letterman,” “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” and “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.”

His last appearance on “The Tonight Show” was in October, just weeks before the election.
