Nickelodeon has given a 13-episode order to live-action family comedy “The Thundermans.”
The half-hour series created by Jed Spingarn (“Big Time Rush”) revolves around a suburban family with superpowers and 14-year-old twins, one of which has a sunny disposition while the other is a super villain. “Thundermans” stars Rosa Blasi, Chris Tallman as the parents, Jack Griffo, Kira Kosarin, Addison Riecke and Diego Velazquez. There’s no word on a target premiere date. Series is part of a slew of new shows that Nick is serving up this year as the kidvid cabler looks to groom a new generation of hits.
