Nickelodeon has ordered 52 episodes of animated preschool series “Lalaoopsy,” with an eye on a spring premiere.
Skein is based on the popular rag dolls and is co-produced by MGA Entertainment, which also has Bratz and Little Tikes products under its umbrella. Moonscoop Prods. is also co-producing.
“Kids adore the Lalaloopsy line and will now be able to engage with these characters in a whole new way when we bring them to life on TV for the first time,” Nick production and development exec veep Teri Weiss said. “The Lalaloopsy world is filled with magic and surprises that will delight preschoolers while teaching important lessons about teamwork and friendship.”
